What Can You Do?

Our misting systems are designed with ultimate flexibility and assembled with durable parts that will provide many years of trouble free operation. Your system will be designed to best address the needs of your home. Nozzles will be placed at pre-determined intervals to focus on areas of dense vegetation, providing shade and moisture.

Nozzles are connected to the control center with high grade UV stabilized nylon tubing. The pre-set misting cycles will coincide with periods of peek mosquito activity and when beneficial insects are dormant and placed in such a manner as to assure that the product is directed at the source.

Within a few days the target area is virtually mosquito free, because populations are present in near by areas without control if attractants are in the yard they will return. For this purpose, your system is equipped with a remote control which will allow you the opportunity to make supplemental applications typically just in advance of planned outdoor activities. It is always wise to make certain that the area to be treated is not occupied by people or pets during applications.

Misting Solution Options
In our efforts to provide a viable option for the wide variety of applications we have selected alternate misting solution products which include, Pyrethrum based products and botanical pesticides formulated with essential plant oils one which works through the nervous system of insects while the other formulation provides excellent repellent qualities as the following will describe.

Pyrethrum
Pyrethrum is a domestic insecticide used in households, food storage warehouses, animal facilities, factories, and directly applied to domestic and farm animals; garden and indoor plants and controls a wide variety of insects in fruit, vegetable and numerous other filed crops.

Pyrethrum is fast acting with little residual and breaks down rapidly in outdoor environments. It is one of the few insecticides approved for use on organic farms in Europe, the US and Australia.

Pyrethrum is formulated with carrying agents and synergist to enhance its performance and work through the nervous system of the insects and has been used by pest control professionals and veterinarians for many years.

Two to three automatic mists per day are recommended with this product with thirty second durations, depending on the season and other environmental conditions.

Lack of Insect Resistance - The six related structures making up pyrethrum is such that insect resistance to pyrethrum is not a practical problem. Only a very few isolated cases of resistance have been reported, unlike synthetic insecticides.

EcoExempt
EcoSmart’s technology is based on the natural defenses that plants and trees use for their self protection against insects. After significant research this product uses proprietary combinations of plant oils such as rosemary, wintergreen and mineral spirits to provide a viable botanical-based alternative to conventional products.

EcoExempt “Minimum Risk” products versatile and target and block a key neurotransmitter receptor site which is found in all invertebrates but not mammals. Because this site regulates the insect’s heart rate, movement, behavior and metabolism there is a total breakdown of the insect’s nervous system.

EcoExempt products are exempt from Federal registration and are USDA National Organic Program (NOP) compliant

Five to six automatic mists per day are recommended with his product with fifteen second durations.

Repellents
Repellents are also formulated with essential plant oils blended with complementary surfactants and oil-specific synergists, but not in the same formulation as the EcoExempt product and are designed only to repel insects. Repellents offer no residual and have also qualified for the USDA National Organic Program (NOP). Although recognized by EPA and the USDA not all states have adopted the National Organic Program.

Instant results, as soon as the system is turned on insects leave the area; the lemon scent provides a long lasting deterrent to biting insects.

When using this product frequent supplemental misting events will be necessary you should use the insect activity to determine frequency during outdoor activities supplemented with one or two automatic setting at dusk and dawn. Remember never operate the system when people pets or food are present.
